Chocolate Bread Rolls

I saw a recipe on Instagram reels the other day that looked interesting.  It was for something savory, though, which is not really where I generally land.  So…I updated it.

It is no longer savory.  It is good though!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup sweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup, semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

These are shockingly easy.

Put the self-rising flour, Greek yogurt, sugar and cocoa powder into a bowl and stir until you’ve got something resembling a bread dough.  It’s probably easier to use a wooden spoon to start, then finish with your (clean!) hands.

Once you have your dough, add in the chocolate chips and mix them in until they’re well distributed.

Roll the dough into 12 separate balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes or until the edges are crisp.  Let the rolls cool on the sheet for a few minutes then transfer them to a wire rack until they’re completely cooled.

Since you separated the dough into 12 balls…this makes a dozen chocolate bread rolls!
