Before you roll or cut your dough, always lightly flour your work surface! And re-flour as you go. Your work surface isn’t just your countertop though, it’s pretty much anything that touches your dough. That means:
- Countertop (of course)
- Rolling pin
- Cookie cutters
- Your hands (Yeah, even them. But please…wash them first. And completely dry them.)
This will help prevent the dough from sticking to everything, and make your baking that much easier and I’m all about simplifying.
