Ugly Advice – Flouring your Work Surface

Before you roll or cut your dough, always lightly flour your work surface!  And re-flour as you go.  Your work surface isn’t just your countertop though, it’s pretty much anything that touches your dough.  That means:

  • Countertop (of course)
  • Rolling pin
  • Cookie cutters
  • Knives
  • Your hands (Yeah, even them.  But please…wash them first.  And completely dry them.)IMG_8122

IMG_8116This will help prevent the dough from sticking to everything, and make your baking that much easier and I’m all about simplifying.
