Ugly Advice – Giving your Cake a Glossy Finish

I’ve seen this advice all over the interwebs and I was hesitant to try it because I didn’t want to ruin what would otherwise be a perfectly good cake.  But…I finally sucked it up and tried it and it works!

If you want to give your cake a glossy finish, just before you serve it take a hairdryer turn it on to medium heat, hold it a couple feet from the cake and basically blow dry the whole outside of the cake.  Shockingly, it works great!!!
