Ok, honestly this is just a chocolate chip cookie in a pie crust.
That’s it.
It doesn’t suck at all.
Plus, you have total permission to use a refrigerated pie crust, so it’s super easy.
Ingredients
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (for a 9” pie)
- ½ cup butter, softened to room temperature
- 2 eggs, brought to room temperature
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- ½ cup flour
- 2 t vanilla
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
In a large bowl mix together the butter, eggs, both sugars, flour and vanilla until they’re well-combined.Stir in the chocolate chips and, if you feel like it, the walnuts.
Pour the chocolate chip batter into the pie crust.
Bake the pie at 325 for about 50-60 minutes, until the top is nice and golden like a great chocolate chip cookie.
Cool on a wire rack. And that bad boy is done!
Couple tips – you can serve this warm a few minutes out of the oven or you can nuke it a little to warm it up. It’s great heated up. And if you want to add some whipped cream or some vanilla or maybe some pralines and cream ice cream I absolutely won’t be mad.
