Chocolate Chip Butterscotch Blondies

I realized that it’s been a hot minute since I’ve made blondies.  And I’ve missed them.  So very, very much.

These aren’t super flashy or fancy, but they’re easy to make and even easier to eat.  Yum!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened to room temperature
  • 2 eggs, brought to room temperature
  • 3 t vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Directions

Butter and flour (or spray) a 13” x 8” pan and set it aside.

We’ll keep the rest of this super simple and hopefully not too messy.

Put the brown sugar, butter eggs and vanilla into a bowl and mix until well combined and smooth.

Next, add in the flour, ½ cup at a time, mixing each time to combine.  Then add in the baking powder and salt and once again mix until well combined.  And then put away your mixer!

Stir in the semisweet and butterscotch chips until they’re evenly distributed.

Spread the dough into your prepared pan and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes, or until it’s nice and golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out dry.IMG_4446IMG_4447

Move the entire pan to a wire rack to cool, then cut up and enjoy!  That’s it!  These use ingredients that, if you’re a baker, you probably already have at home and are absolutely if you all of a sudden you get the urge to whip up something quick and fantastic!IMG_4451
