White Chocolate Cake Fudge

This is a very simple (like really, really easy) candy recipe that’s a little different because it also incorporates cake mix…so it’s part candy, part cake and all extremely tasty.

But this might be the simplest treat ever.  And honestly – it’s mostly candy…

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate baking or melting chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 T butter
  • 1 t vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ cups white (not yellow) cake mix
  • Sprinkles for garnish

Directions

Butter and flour (or line with foil) an 8” or 9” square pan and set it aside.

Ok, here’s where it gets complicated:  put the white chocolate, condensed milk, butter, vanilla and salt into a saucepan.  Heat over low and stir regularly until the white chocolate is melted and everything is well combined.IMG_4674

Take the pan off the heat and add in the white cake mix.  Stir until well combined.IMG_4675

Yeah, that’s pretty much it.

Pour the mixture into your pan and drop the pan on the counter a couple times to flatten everything out.  Sprinkle the, well, sprinkles on top and cover lightly with tin foil.

Refrigerate overnight to harden, then cut into small squares and serve!
