And this one is super, super easy so if you get the craving you can just knock it out!
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs, brought to room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 t vanilla
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 2 t baking powder
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 ½ t cinnamon
- ¼ cup Heath Bar bits (optional)
Directions
Butter and flour (or spray) a 13” x 9” pan and set it aside. In a large bowl, mix the butter and brown sugar together until they’re nice and creamy, probably 3-4 minutes. Next, add in the eggs, sour cream and vanilla and mix again until everything is combined. Set this aside.
Pour the flour, baking powder and baking soda into a separate bowl and whisk until well combined.
Add the dry ingredients to your wet ones and mix. You may want to add them a bit at a time so the dry ingredients don’t go flying everywhere.
Pour the batter into your prepared pan.
In a small bowl add the chips, sugar and cinnamon and combine with a wooden spoon.
Distribute the chip mixture over the top of the batter, as evenly as you can. If you decide to include them (I did), sprinkle the Heath Bar bits over the top.
Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry and clean.
Take the cake out of the oven and move it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve!
See? Super easy (and delicious).
