Oreo Mug Cake

You don’t always want to make a whole cake, you know?  Either it’s too much work, or you just don’t want to eat that much.

Fortunately, that’s why some genius person invented mug cakes!  They are essentially single serve cakes made in, yes, a mug.  They’re super quick, super easy and will give you that cookie/cake fix I know you’re craving, without having to eat an entire cake!

Ingredients

  • 5 Oreos
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 T flour
  • I t cocoa powder
  • ½ t baking powder
  • 1/8 t vanilla

Directions

All you need here is one coffee mug…that’s it!

Put four of your 5 Oreos in the mug and crunch up the cookies until they’re in small pieces.  Add the milk and crunch them up a little more, now that they’re softer.

Next, add in the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and vanilla and mix with a fork until well combined.  Place your last Oreo on top of the mixture and then push it down so that it’s completely covered with the batter.

Put the mug in the microwave for about a minute until it’s puffed up and looks mostly dry.  Watch, though – your microwave may be a little faster or slower, so keep an eye on it.

Take the mug out and let it cool for a minute or two and then dig in!  Feel free to add some ice cream if you’re so inclined and, if one of these isn’t enough…just pop another one into the microwave!!IMG_6229IMG_6232IMG_6233
