Anyway, I was scrolling through the TikTok and found this. I don’t know where it originated but boy is it easy…but the results are also really tasty!
I am 100% convinced that the degree of difficulty in baking does not correlate to how tasty something is. Sometimes the easiest recipes are still fantastic, and you can always tell your friends they were a TON of work. I promise I won’t tell.
Ingredients
- 1 box, dark chocolate cake mix (or really any chocolate cake mix
- 1 tub Cool Whip
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Seriously. That’s all the ingredients. And the last two, honestly, barely count. Here we go.
Take your chocolate cake mix and dump it in a bowl.
Dump the Cool Whip on top of it.
Stir until they’re well combined. FYI, it’s not quite as easy as it seems – you’ll need to use a little elbow grease but I believe in you!
Put the powdered sugar in a small bowl. Scoop up a golfball sized bit of the (VERY sticky) dough and roll it in the powdered sugar and put it on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, six to a sheet. Place a few chocolate chips on top of each ball (push in slightly so they don’t fall off) and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
Remove the sheets from the oven and let the cookies rest and set for a couple minutes, then move them to a wire rack to cool completely.
That. Is. It. And you’ll be surprised how good these cookies are!!
Makes about 20 cookies.
