Nope. It’s basically a fancy name for a super-light pudding and they’re incredibly easy to make. And, delicious. And fancy. This is another one of those recipes where no one needs to know how hard you didn’t work – just let them think you slaved over a hot stove for a day. · 4 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces · 5 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces (I like to mix the two – the proportions are up to you, but you need 9 oz total of chopped chocolate) · 1 ½ cups whole milk (this one needs whole, not lighter, milk) · 1 cup heavy whipping cream · 6 egg yolks, room temperature · 5 T sugar · ¼ t salt · 1 t vanilla · Whipped cream (optional, for garnish) · Fruit (optional, for garnish) · Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish) · Cocoa powder (optional, for garnish) In a sauce pan, add the milk, whipping cream, egg yolks, sugar, salt and vanilla. Turn the heat to medium and whisk constantly while it’s cooking, until the mixture just starts boiling and has thickened a bit. You’ll know it’s ready when the mixture can coat the back of the spoon and stays there, rather than pouring off. Depending on the exact heat, this may take six minutes-ish, give or take. Take the mixture off the heat and immediately add the chopped chocolate. Whisk vigorously until all the chocolate is melted and is well blended. Pour the chocolate mixture into small bowls (I used 4 clear water glasses – it looks kind of cool that way) and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. When you’re ready to serve, garnish with whipped cream and whatever else you’d like. I mean, all the garnish is optional but in my opinion the whipped cream is a must and the rest (fruit, chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, whatever) are all nice-to-haves but not required. Serve up to your guests and let them know you worked extra hard for them.Ingredients

To start, make sure your chocolate it chopped up ahead of time. The smaller the better because you’re going to need to melt it.
And that’s it! Soooo easy.
